Travel and Local Support
We expect to have limited funds to assist with local/travel expenses for students, postdoctoral attendees, and other young participants who have to pay a substantial portion of their own costs. Those of you who expect to be in need of support are encouraged to apply by April 1, 2016.

Please note that we cannot provide any funds in advance of the meeting. You will have to buy your ticket yourself, and if we are able to provide some support to you, we will send you a check after the meeting. However, we may be able to pay (part or all of) your room costs directly to the hotel. We may ask you to share a room. Support amounts, if any, will be based on need, and students and postdocs with limited access to travel funds will be given preference. We will decide about travel awards and send applicants a notification no later than April 8, 2016.

NOTE: If you are not a US citizen or permanent resident and you want to get some reimbursement for travel or other costs, you must come to the US under one of the following visas.

1) If you live in a visa waiver country, you can come on a WB or WT visa. To use this program, you should fill out the forms on ETSA site

2) If you are coming from a non-waiver country, you need to get either a B1, B2, F1,or J1 visa. If you have an F1 or J1 visa, we will also need a letter from your university giving you permission to receive travel reimbursement from us.

3) All reimbursements will be processed after the meeting. Once we notify you that you will be receiving support, we will give you instructions on what you need to submit.

To apply for support, please download the support form. Print it, fill it out, and return to us
